In 2023 I made a 40 part ceramic installation sculpture about the damage purple sea urchins are causing our seas.
Echino" | pronounced | EH . KAI . NO | is the prefix for 'Echinoderm', the phylum that incudes sea urchins and sea stars. Echinoderm comes from the greek word Echinos, meaning sea urchin.
Echino comes from my fascination with the sea, and acts as an homage to my main source of inspiration
